Tasks as a Development Support Center integrant

 

Execution

Here are described the execution and elaboration of technical proposals, the extgernal allocation and the internal tasks of the department.

Proposals:

Insurance company:

I analyzed the programs responsible for the calculations of some specific accounts specified by the economy specialist. These accounts were the most critic ones in his point of view. I identified some problems that generated wrong calculations and possible locations where old data could not be removed correctly. I helped generating the proposal for the revision of a group of programs and correction of problems.

Bank institution:

A team composed by two technical professionals and on integrant of the commercial department was sent the city where is the headquarters of the customer's company was located. It was a customer's request that the companies competing for the project had to develop the proposals together with two other small companies that had good knowledge of the internal applications of the bank. A series of meetings was held on the bank to analyze the applications to be migrated. The technical and commercial proposal was created. We won the concurrence. The project was executed remotely.

I have work in this initiative from 2003/01 to 2003/08.

Energy Company:

A team composed by two technicians and a member of the commercial department was allocated to elaborate both technical and commercial proposal. The customer's systems were analyzed and an integration solution through messages was described. The proposal was delivered to the customer.

Telecommunication Company:

A team from the commercial department was responsible to communicate with the customer and gather the necessary information to write the technical proposal. A team from de development support center was allocated to review the technical terms and to guarantee that the statements were viable to implemented in practice. This team also had to be in contact with the laboratory that develops the product. The objective was to guarantee that the adaptations of the product were feasible and viable. The competition was won. A professional from the development support center traveled to work with the laboratory and learn the product to guarantee that the adaptation of the project could be executed with success. The development team was set up and the portal was developed.

I helped auditing an external project:

Company of business credit information:

A team composed by a development technician, a security technician and a project manager was allocated to analyze the customer´s project. Several meetings were done with the many project integrants. A document containing the conclusions was written and given to the central office of the company.

I have work in this initiative from 2003/06 to 2003/10.

I helped in internal activities of the department:

Portal:

Each integrant of the development support center helped the portal development by implementing the required portlets. A portal server product was installed in a server and the developed applications were installed in this server.

Informative from the department:

Each integrant of the department helped writing articles for the news letter. Every month a member of the department collected the quality of service numbers, added the articles and delivered the news letter to all the members of the software factory.
