Execution

A team was responsible for the project of the communication and software infrastructure. Another team, which I belonged, was in charge of the design and implementation of the application. The application was composed of a layer of data manipulation and another layer to interface with the users through the internet.

Part that I had no participation

The communication would be through EDI. The information would be sent in flat files. These files were sent to the Mainframe platform, the information were stored in database.and they were manipulated through COBOL programs.

Part that I had a direct participation

The presentation layer of the application was developed in Java turning in an application serve installed in a UNIX layer (Open-VM) in Mainframe platform. The internal structure was structured in accordance of internal patterns of the company. The access to the database was through the use of JDBC encapsulated in command beans.
